Will Paint the Night be back in 2026? If so, what months will it be showing?

    Hello Josephine! Welcome to planDisney!

Thank you for your great question - "When Can We Do This Again?" I can understand your desire to plan ahead and prioritize experiencing the magic of Paint the Night while you are visiting the Happiest Place on Earth. I'm the same way!

We do know that beginning November 10, 2025, Paint the Night will be temporarily paused, to make way for A Christmas Fantasy Parade during the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort. According to the Disneyland website, Paint the Night will be back to continue Disneyland's 70th Celebration, which is scheduled to run through summer of 2026. My best advice is to keep a close eye on the Daily Events Schedule on the Disneyland website as entertainment schedules are released about six weeks out. The Daily Events Schedule is an incredibly helpful resource, not only to confirm which nights Paint the Night will be showing, but also includes park hours, attraction closure information, as well as the events occurring during your visit.

You may also notice Paint the Night return updates and announcements on the Disneyland website so continue to check back there.

Once you're immersed in the magic, Josephine, and looking for a viewing spot for Paint the Night, my son and I found a great spot in Town Square, across from the Main Street train station, for the second showing of the night. This worked out perfectly for a few reasons: (1) The parade begins in Town Square for the second showing, (2) we were able to scoot out of the park pretty quickly after the conclusion of the parade, and (3) the second showing tends to see far less crowds than the first showing. Paint the Night absolutely wowed us both. I heard my too-cool-for-school-tween son utter, "Whoa!" multiple times, under his breath. I even caught him waving to Mickey. The magic is still real.

I hope this information has been helpful, Josephine! And remember, if any other planning questions come up, anything from how to utilize the Disneyland app or ways to maximize the magic, please don't hesitate to reach out to your planDisney pals again! We love sharing our tips and recommendations for a truly magical time in Disneyland!

    See you real soon!

Hello from the Pacific Northwest! I'm McCayla, a wife and mom dreaming of adventure in the great wide somewhere, yet also completely content watching Toy Story from the couch. My love of Disneyland began as a little girl on Peter Pan's Flight and only grows with each visit. But even when I'm not physically at the Happiest Place on Earth, I truly feel that same joy when I can help others (YOU!) experience the magic of Disneyland Resort too.
