I paid in full online for AP’s before the parks closed. I have a resort stay August 6. We haven’t activated the tickets yet need to make the reservations for the parks. My concern is I read you need activated AP to make the reservations for the park days

    Welcome BACK, Barbara!

It's so good to see you back hEAR at the Disney Parks Moms Panel asking another great Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question! I can tell that you're so excited to Return to the World of Magic after this unprecedented theme park closure. I feel like I finally get what Princess Anna meant when she sang 'For The First Time in Forever!'

I actually have a very similar problem myself regarding Military tickets as the passes purchased on bases also require activation prior to first use. I asked this very question a few weeks ago for myself and all 'activation required' tickets and annual passes, and was told that the theme park admission ticket or AP does not have to be activated first to be able to make a park day reservation, that the important step is that the ticket or pass must be linked in your My Disney Experience account. Aside from hEARing this news from a trusted Cast Member, prior to the closure brand new-yet-unactivated tickets and passes could make fastpass reservations. And, according to the information released today from the Disney Parks Blog introducing the brand new Disney Park Pass System, the phrasing used is "valid theme park ticket or annual pass", which both of ours are. So I feel very confident that we're both good to go.

I hope this helped prepare you for your upcoming Disney Days a bit, Barbara. Definitely 'like' and 'follow' the Disney Parks Blog across all of your social media platforms so you can get the newest news straight from Mickey himself as it's released.
