Ahoy there, Emerald! Welcome aboard planDisney!
OOH! Deposit paid - that means it's all getting real! Once you have that date locked down and the deposit showing in your "
My Reservations" section, the planning gets REALLY exciting! From deciding which
Port Adventures you'd like to experience in your
Ports of Call to learning
what's in store for kids, pre-teens, and teens, to carving out some time for yourself to spend in the
Adults-only sections of the ship, with so much
included on a Disney Cruise Line vacation, there's so much to plan for!
I see you're planning on sailing next January, which is one of my FAVORITE times to sail - and with family in Ohio, I know escaping "Gray Sky Season" for the bright blue sky and deep blue sea is a "planDrew-approved" approach!
As far as your question about the Disney Visa card, I checked the most recent cardmember agreement, and as of February 2022, the fine print states that Disney Cruise Line vacations booked by you directly through the Disney Cruise Line website are eligible for the "Special Vacation Financing" benefit! Based on that information, it looks like smooth sailing. Now it does say, "based on the date of purchase," so if you put the deposit on the credit card as well, I'd suggest treating each payment as a new six-month timeline, and would also call to be 100% sure!
In any case, you're well on your way to next January! I know it seems far away, but you'd be surprised how quickly that countdown goes - especially when you keep track of it on the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app!
I hope that helps you set your course for adventure, Emerald! Thank you for sailing my way, and if you dig up any other questions as you continue planning, please drop me another line here at planDisney!
Fair winds and following seas!
Andrew
