Packing questions: if formal night a black tie affair (tux and long dresses)? Also, I want to make sure I pack accessories for themed nights. Our cruise is 1st Sept 2024 on Disney Dream. How do I know what the themes will be?

Greetings, Kathy! Thanks for stopping by planDisney!

On select Disney Cruises, the optional formal night is as fancy as you'd like it to be! Some Guests choose gowns or tuxedos, while others feel more comfortable in a dress or suit. It's important that whatever you wear, you feel most comfortable with! Please remember that swimwear or tank tops should never be worn to sit-down dining, even on cruise casual nights. For more information, see the Dining Dress Code section of the Disney Cruise Line website.

As for the scheduled itinerary for your cruise on the Disney Dream, Night 2 is an optional formal dress evening and Night 5 is an optional semi-formal dress evening. Night 4 is Pirate Night, so break out your favorite pirating attire and enjoy a themed deck show with other scallywags. Night 6 is Mickey's Color Spin Dance Party, which would be the perfect time to sport accessories and attire with our friend pal Mickey Mouse on them!

Kathy, entertainment is always subject to change, so be sure to confirm these nights once onboard by using the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. The app will have your daily schedule and can notify you any time one of your favorite activities is starting. (Just hit the heart in the app next to activities you don't want to miss!)

I hope this information helps, Kathy. Thanks again for sailing by! Have a wonderful time on your cruise.

    Bon Voyage,
    Melissa
