Hey there, Matt! Welcome to planDisney.
I am a huge fan of saving my vacation money to spend it on the things that really matter to me: DOLE Whips and all the Mickey-shaped treats I can find. It’s absolutely possible to find some great deals when visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, and I’m happy to share some tips to make your dollars go further.
At this time, hotel rewards points are not accepted as payment toward vacation packages or room-only resort hotel reservations. Having said that, there are two Hilton hotels in the Disney Springs area – the Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace and the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista, so you may want to check to see if your points can be used for stays at either one. I don’t have experience staying at these hotels, but they are considered
Good Neighbor Hotels, and therefore have access to some of the perks of staying on Walt Disney World Property. You may call the Disney Reservations Center at (407) 939-1283 to learn more and find out if you could use your points toward a stay or a vacation package including tickets.
When my family visits Walt Disney World, we prefer to stay inside the magic at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel. Disney transportation, the amazing Disney customer service, and all the special touches and Disney details make it a must for me. If you feel the same, I invite you to take a look at the
Walt Disney World Vacation Packages web page to learn more and find out pricing for your dates. Click the green “Book your Walt Disney World vacation today” button to price resort hotels and vacation packages, which are hotel stays with tickets included. You can also call (407) 939-1936 to speak with a Cast Member about availability and pricing during your visit date. If you’re looking for tips on selecting a resort hotel, our planDisney panelists share our thoughts in our
Panel Extras.
You will also want to take a look at the
Special Offers web page to see if there are any discounts or deals that are applicable to you for your visit dates. Check back often, as the offers do change.
I see you are thinking about visiting in
May, which is a fantastic time for a Disney visit. Gorgeous, warm weather awaits you, and early May usually comes with lower crowd levels (though that’s been hard to predict lately). I recommend making your plans soon so you can make
dining reservations and your
Disney Park Pass reservations as soon as possible. Take a look at the
Know Before You Go information to learn more about the phased reopening of Walt Disney World Resort so you can be prepared and ready for all the fun.
As you continue to make plans and dream about your May visit, please come back and see us if you have any further questions.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
