Hi there Kate, welcome to
planDisney!
I often find that packing for a trip to
Walt Disney World Resort is the trickiest part of the vacation (especially with kids). Depending on how I'm travelling (especially if it is carry-on only), I'll often order items and have them sent directly to the Disney Resorts Collection hotel where I'll be staying. Sunscreen and other liquids over the amount allowed by airlines can be tricky! Currently, Guests can use
Mail Services and receive mail throughout their stay as long as packages don't arrive too early.
If you decide to take advantage of this service, be sure to address the packages with the mailing address of your Disney Resort hotel, your name with the word "Guest" and your date of arrival. There is a small package handling fee (per package) for any packages that are delivered to your hotel or received by Front Desk. If I'm expecting a package, I always ask at check-in or contact Front Desk to inquire.
Speaking of mail, did you know that you can mail postcards and letters from any mailbox located throughout the theme parks or from the Front Desk of a Walt Disney World Resort hotel? On my last Walt Disney World Resort trip, my daughter was so excited to mail a postcard from
EPCOT, how magical is that?
I hope this answers your question, Kate. If you think of any other vacation planning questions, please let me know!
See ya real soon,
Candace
