Hi Ashley!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and a super duper hello to a fellow Texan! This is a great question, and really proves the convenience and value of Disney's various
Dining Plans. The short answer is 'yes, you can', but there are a lot of variables.
Quick-Service Dining Locations are going to be your best bets for on-the-run dining options because they are already set up for speed.
Table-Service locations will only let you order a meal or two to-go if you're already dining at that location. They don't currently allow 'call ahead' or in person carry-out orders like so many restaurants in the boring ol' real world.
Disney Resort Hotels usually have a refrigerated section in their Quick-Service dining locations where I've seen items like salads, cold sandwiches, even fruit and cheese plates at the ready for a quick grab-and-go. Definitely check those out early in your vacation to better learn about your options prior to your check-out day. Or, if you aren't in a rush, you can certainly order anything from their regular menus and ask for said meals to be boxed up as they are being prepared. I actually
mobile ordered a plate of Mickey waffles at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort as I was leaving for the airport in November, and in between the time I pushed the blue "I'm Here, Prepare my Order" button to when my order was actually given to me, I asked the order caller if they could box mine to-go and they did. They even put it in a bag with handles! Another time I ordered multiple plates of Mickey waffles (can you tell my favorite Disney food?) and was able to ask that all of the waffles be put in the same container and all of the included sides in another to condense the number of boxes.
And since you're driving, don't overlook your options at nearby Disney Resort Hotels or even
Disney Springs. Some of the
Quick-Service options at Disney Springs have their own areas filled with ready to serve items that will have you on your way in no time. But they'll also be glad to wrap up fresh orders so you can take a piece of the Magic on the road. I feel like some of your best bets here would be Earl of Sandwich, Pizza Ponte, D-Luxe Burger and Polite Pig.
I hope that this gave you some food for thought, Ashley, and We'll See You Real Soon!
