I have a package reservation to stay at Wilderness Lodge next year. If I make Park reservations and eventually dining reservations when I am allowed to, what will happen if I change my reservation by number of days or different Disney Hotel?

Hiya, Karen. Thank you for checking in with another question about your vacation! I’m happy to help you get all the details squared away.

First of all, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is such a great choice. I absolutely love the rustic beauty of the lodge as well as the gorgeous property. If you have time, I’d recommend stopping in at Territory Lounge while you’re there. It’s one of our favorite lounges at Walt Disney World.

Because all of your vacation details are linked through your My Disney Experience account, it can be worrisome to consider what might happen if you make a change that accidentally results in a cancellation. I totally understand, Karen. In the past, I’ve successfully switched to a different resort without losing my dining reservations. The addition of the theme park reservation requirement complicates matters ever so slightly.

If you are considering adding theme park days, you wouldn’t necessarily have to change the existing reservations you may have. But if you wanted to reduce the number of days, or perhaps skip a day and then return to the theme parks the next day, that could require a change to your reservations. In that case, I’d recommend you get on the phone and speak to a Cast Member just to be on the safe side. He or she could help make that change for you without causing you to lose any existing reservations.

I hope that helps, Karen. And let us know if we can be of further assistance!
