How would the package plan for the 1 day park ticket and one overnight plus another less than 24 hours prorated rates for the hotel reservation work, 1.5 days? If emergency happens, then how will the refund process would work?

Welcome to planDisney, Emily. It's so nice to answer your question today!

Currently, you cannot book a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel for a partial day or night. Instead, you book your stay per night, with check-in time around 3 p.m. (or 4 p.m. for Deluxe Villas) and checkout time at 11 a.m. Furthermore, if you'd like to book a vacation package (hotel room reservation and theme park tickets booked together), you would need to purchase at least a 2-day theme park ticket, even if you are only booking one night at a hotel. Otherwise, you'd need to book your Disney Resorts Collection Hotel room reservation and theme park tickets separately. Cancelation policies depend on the type of product you purchase.

You'll want to check the Ticket Store Terms & Conditions and the Vacation Package Terms & Conditions for the full details on these cancelation policies, but here are the highlights:

    • At this time, if you book a vacation package, you can typically receive a full refund if you cancel up to 30 days before your arrival date. If you cancel between 2 and 29 days before your check-in date, you are entitled to a full refund minus the cancelation fee (which is currently $200, but this is subject to change). If you cancel 1 day or less before or don't show up, you will not receive a refund.
    • If you purchase theme park tickets separately from your hotel room reservation, the tickets are nonrefundable and nontransferable. However, you can typically apply the amount you've paid for a wholly unused ticket to a new ticket purchase. If your new ticket purchase is more expensive, you will be responsible for the difference at the time of purchase, and if it's less expensive, you will not receive a refund for the difference.
    • If you book a hotel room reservation separately from your theme park tickets for a 2024 visit, you have up to 5 days before your check-in date to cancel for a full refund. For 2025 hotel room-only bookings, you'll have 8 days before your check-in date to cancel for a full refund. After these deadlines, you will receive a full refund minus the deposit (typically the cost of a one-night stay).
    • Please note that policies are subject to change, and these cancelation policies do not apply to any third-party add-ons you may choose to add during the booking process.
