should we pack towels to dry off after the kali river rapids, rain etc....?

    Hi Myrna,

I usually stick a hand-sized towel in my "park bag" along with the other 55 pounds worth of gear I lug into the theme parks each day.  There are two attractions, Kali River Rapids at Animal Kingdom and Splash Mountain at Magic Kingdom that might leave you wishing you brought one.  If you travel when the weather is warm, you'll likely be dry before you take the towel out of your bag, but during the cooler (well, ok, less warm) months, you might be happy you have one.

Aside from these two attractions, I think a small towel is a good idea.  I travel with two, not-so-neat boys, who do a great drop of dripping Mickey ice cream bars, juice boxes and other miscellaneous park snacks all over themselves, their stroller, and me.  A little "towel-in-the-lap trick" works great to keep the mess at bay!

As for rain, afternoon showers tend to be brief, but can be intense.  A towel might help you dry off after they pass, but a poncho or umbrella is probably better for keeping you drier during a storm.

    Have a wonderful trip!
