What to pack for my son's 1st bday at WDW? Amy tips? going to MK/Epcot/Typhoon lagoon in April 5-9. this is our first family trip! from DC to FL. I'm freaking out when it comes to what to pack! help mamas!

    Hi, Jo Melissa!

Celebrating your little prince's first birthday in Walt Disney World will be magical! Take lots of pictures to remember this special occasion.

So what to pack? LOTS of stuff! Start with a sturdy, but comfortable to carry, tote bag or back pack. Refresh this bag each day before heading to the parks. Fill it up with the following:

    -diapers and wipes
-swim diapers (for the water park)
    -change of clothes
    -sun hat and/or sunglasses
    -pj's
    -sippy cups or bottles
-finger snack food (cheerios are perfect)
    -small toys or books
    -sunscreen
    -cell phone and charger
    -autograph book
-beach towels (for water park, or rent them there)

Since you will be celebrating your son's birthday, you may want to bring a cute birthday hat for him to wear for a picture with a cupcake. Ask your server if they can offer any type of special birthday dessert to mark the occasion.  In lieu of an autograph book, you might want to get a birthday card that all the characters can sign at Meet and Greets. This will be a great keepsake for your son's baby book.

Wishing your darling little one a lifetime of magical birthdays!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
