Ahoy, Joey!
Adventure awaits with your Disney Cruise! And sometimes the best adventures even require clothing to be washed along the way. You have
a few options when it comes to doing the laundry, and packing your own laundry pods is one of them. You may bring your preferred laundry detergent if it is sealed, unopened, and packed in your carry-on luggage. If you'd prefer to save room in your luggage, you also have the option to purchase detergent and dryer sheets onboard in the self-service laundry area. And if you'd prefer to not lift a finger, there are also complete laundry, dry-cleaning, and pressing services offered onboard. You'll find a laundry bag and a list of services and prices in the closet of your stateroom.
If you'll be washing your own clothing, I have a few tips. First, if the laundry machines nearest your stateroom are all in use when you need them, you can head to a laundry room on another floor. Some laundry rooms are less busy than others. Second, you'll need to use your Key to the World Card (this is the card that unlocks your stateroom) to purchase your wash and dry cycles in the laundry area. It's a good idea to purchase the services you need, then load your washer with clothing before redeeming your wash cycle. If you try to redeem first and then load, the system can time out before you start the washer and you'll need to do it all over again. Just speaking from recent personal experience, ha! The
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app is set up to send you a notification when your laundry cycle is finished. I like to set a timer on my phone as well just to be sure I don't forget.
Laundry may be the only chore you'll need to attend to this cruise. Enjoy letting the wonderful Crew Members clean your room, make your bed, cook your meals, and even do the dishes. I hope the only thing left on your to-do list is to RELAX. Disney Cruise Line really does invite you to be their guest and put their service to the test.
Happy Sailing,
Adrianna
