Hiya Jennifer,
Welcome to planDisney! I love living in Texas, but I dream of one day owning a vacation condo in Florida to visit Walt Disney World Resort more frequently. What a dream you are living!
Believe it or not, Jennifer, we get this question a lot! Many Guests own property in the Sunshine State, but their everyday home is elsewhere. To determine eligibility for
Theme Park tickets at the Florida Resident rate, you must have at least one valid form of Florida residency for verification. Since you do not have a valid Florida Driver’s license or Florida state-issued ID card (or military ID) with a Florida address, you can use one of the
additional forms or proof of residency (if you have it). Some other acceptable forms that you can present to Cast Members as proof of Florida residency include:
1. Proof of Current Mortgage for your vacation home
2. Bills, Policies, or Registration
3. Certain Pieces of Mail
As long as your additional residency forms include your full name, Florida address and are dated within the past two months, they can be used. Before I let you go, Jennifer, one other important thing to note is that any additional Guest over 18 who wants to qualify as a Florida resident must have their names on the proof of residency or provide evidence that they reside in the same Florida address to qualify. Otherwise, they must purchase Theme Park tickets without the Florida resident discount.
I hope this was helpful, Jennifer. If you need anything else, please come back and see
us.
Happy Planning!
Ashley F.
