Hello there, Laura. Welcome to planDisney. I see that your vacation to the
Most Magical Place on Earth is quickly approaching. I bet you are getting so excited!
Laura, for safety reasons, kitchen appliances brought from home are not permitted in any of the Walt Disney World Resort Hotel rooms. As you can probably imagine, that would be a pretty big fire hazard if something were to accidentally be left on after leaving the room for the day. However, I think you'll be happy to know that toasters and microwaves are available to use at the
Intermission Food Court at
Disney's All-Star Music Resort. You'll be able to use these appliances anytime the food court area is open which is usually from about 7:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. each day.
Laura, the 50th-anniversary celebration at Walt Disney World kicked off just last week and boy, oh boy, is it off to an incredible start. I think you are going to have such a wonderful time enjoying all of the festivities. If I could recommend one 50th celebration must-do it would be to make sure you watch the all-new fireworks spectacular,
Harmonious, at Epcot one night. Out of all of the new festive offerings, this one is my favorite. The music is catchy, the projections are amazing and the fireworks were incredible. It's an all-around great show and one I don't think you are going to want to miss.
Also, if you are looking for any last-minute dining suggestions, I just tried
Steakhouse 71 at Disney's Contemporary Resort and it is delicious. I enjoyed dinner there but some of my friends went for lunch and raved about it equally. Because it is relatively new, I don't think you'd have trouble getting a reservation.
I hope you enjoy celebrating the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World during your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation. If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm happy to help! You can also follow along with panelists in the parks on the new
planDisney Instagram page.
Have fun!
