Hiya, Trish, and welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you'll be arriving at the Most Magical Place on Earth in just a couple of days - you must be so excited! Have you packed your suitcases yet? If you're anything like me, they've been packed for days!
Trish, you'll be happy to know that Walt Disney World Resort is now more accessible than ever for Guests with mobility devices. If you're taking Walt Disney World Resort transportation to
Magic Kingdom Park, you'll find that you can roll right on without having to get off of your scooter. This is the case with all buses, boats, the Monorail, and the Skyliner - helpful Cast Members are ready to help Guests safely and efficiently board and exit. Best of all, this transportation is complimentary! When you get to the park, you'll go through the security checkpoint and then you'll approach the tapstiles. This is where you'll scan your MagicBand, Key to the World Card, or
Disney MagicMobile Pass to confirm your valid park admission. You'll see Guests with scooters, wheelchairs, and strollers in the queue to enter.
Did you know that each of the four Disney Theme Parks offers
wheelchair and
ECV rental? This is located just inside the entrance of each theme park, and you simply return your rental as you exit the park. If you'd like any more information about services for Guests with mobility needs, visit this helpful
website. During your vacation, don't hesitate to visit
Guest Relations or ask a nearby Cast Member if you have any questions about accessibility or other topics that would improve your experience.
Trish, I hope this is helpful to you! Please stop by planDisney with any other questions you have as you count down to your arrival at the Most Magical Place on Earth!
See ya real soon!
Jennifer
