Hi Joseph,
Welcome home! And welcome to planDisney!
Thank you for visiting us with your question today! I love getting to chat with fellow
Disney Vacation Club Members about all of the magic of membership and helping them to make the most out of their contracts. My family have been members for several years now and we just wish we had joined so much sooner!
Like you, Joseph, we also own two contracts at two different resorts. At seven months out, you are able to use your points at Disney Vacation Club resorts outside of your home resorts. There are restrictions in place at eleven months out. This time period is called your
home resort priority period. It allows you to book a reservation at the DVC resort where you own points up to eleven months in advance of the check-in date, before other members can book that resort. At this stage, you would only be able to book your two separate home resorts rather than pool the points together to book at one of your home resorts.
I mentioned that we own at two resorts. We call Copper Creek Villas and Cabins and
Disney’s Vero Beach home. We have owned at Vero Beach for several years but had never stayed there until this year. Let me tell you, we were blown away by the property, the location, and the service, and we have already booked our next visit for next year, staying longer this time! My family decided that Vero Beach might be Disney Vacation Club's
best-kept secret - I highly recommend visiting if you have not already!
I hope this answers your question today, Joseph. If you have any other questions about your membership or vacation planning, please
reach out to me. I'd love to help!
See ya real soon!
Matt
