Hi, we own a property in FL, but our mortgage statements and homeowner's insurance statements are mailed to our Georgia residency. The FL address is listed on these statements just not as the mailing address. Could this count as proof of residency?

    Hiya Camille,

Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your Florida Resident question! Oh boy, how wonderful that you own property here in the Sunshine State! My family and I have called Florida home for over a decade now, and I can honestly say there’s nothing quite like living just a short drive from The Most Magical Place on Earth. Whether it’s popping in for a quick park day or catching the evening fireworks after dinner, being a local truly adds a little extra pixie dust to everyday life.

Now, let’s jump right into your question. To take advantage of Florida Resident offers—like special-priced theme park tickets, resort stays, or Annual Passes—you’ll need to show proof of Florida residency. The easiest way is with one of these valid forms of ID:

    • A Florida driver’s license with a Florida address
    •  A Florida state-issued ID card with a Florida address
    • Or a Florida-based military ID
If you don’t have one of those, no worries! There are a few other ways to show you belong in the Sunshine State. You can provide one of the following documents (dated within the last two months, showing proof of residency at a Florida address) along with a photo ID, such as a passport or out-of-state driver’s license:

    • Current mortgage statement (note: deeds, mortgage contracts, and leases are not accepted)
    •  Current homeowner’s insurance policy or bill
    • Current automobile registration, insurance policy, or bill
    • Current utility bill (power, phone, cable, or water)
    • Mail from a financial institution (like checking, savings, or investment account statements)
    •  Mail from federal, state, county, or city government agencies
You can even show these documents electronically on your phone or tablet—super convenient when you’re ready to head to the magic! Just make sure the address matches your Florida property, as P.O. boxes and personal mail services aren’t accepted. And if there are other family members in your household, they’ll just need proof of the same address.

Once you’ve gathered your documents, you can show proof of residency at any Ticket Center or Guest Relations location when purchasing your tickets or picking up will-call orders.

Camille, I hope this helps make your path to pixie-dusted savings a little clearer! If you have any more questions, please visit us again.

    See ya real soon,
