Hi, there!
Welcome to planDisney, Elizabeth. I'm so glad you stopped by! It's my pleasure to help you plan your upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort.
I'm sure you're feeling frustrated. We moms have enough to worry about and plan for when going on vacation - mixed messages are the last thing we need! As I'm sure you know,
stroller wagons are not permitted in the theme parks. It's certainly possible that your Pivot Xplore Stroller Wagon may qualify to be used as a wheelchair, but unfortunately, that determination can only be made in person at this time. To have your stroller wagon marked as a wheelchair, you'll need to stop by Guest Relations at the first theme park you visit. There you'll chat with a friendly Cast Member about your son's unique needs. If it's determined that your stroller wagon can be used as a wheelchair, you'll receive a special identifying tag that you'll attach to it to mark it as a wheelchair. I can understand how not knowing whether or not you'll be able to use your stroller until after you arrive can be unsettling. You may find peace of mind in renting an adaptive stroller ahead of time.
Adaptive strollers can be rented from ScooterBug, Disney's featured rental provider. They'll deliver the stroller right to your Disney Resorts Collection hotel!
I encourage you to explore the
Services for Guests with Cognitive Disabilities page on the Walt Disney World Resort website. There you'll find lots of important information on services that will help maximize your kiddo's experience in
and out of the theme parks. You'll even find tips on how to prepare for your family's visit!
I hope this was helpful, Elizabeth. Please let us know if you have any other questions! We'd love to help you plan a magical stay.
Ashley
