Hiya Paul - welcome to
planDisney!
Thanks so much for stopping by with your question for our team of panelists today. We love to help Guests just like you plan your very own, very magical,
Walt Disney World Resort vacations!
Mickey definitely loves his neighbors, and that's why Walt Disney World Resort often has
Special Offers exclusively for Florida Residents. In addition to
discounts on Theme Park Tickets, you may also find exclusive offers for stays at Disney Resorts Collection hotels, among other offers.
In order to take advantage of these Special Offers, you will need to
provide proof of your Florida residency. This can either be done online at the time of purchase with certain forms of valid Florida ID (e.g., driver's license, state-issued ID card, or military ID with Florida address), or you can provide proof of residency in-person using alternative documents such as a mortgage statement, bill, or a statement from a financial institution showing a Florida address, along with a photo ID matching your name on the documentation you are providing. Since you own a home in Florida, my guess is that you may be able to use either a current mortgage statement, homeowner's insurance statement, or utility bill from your Florida home.
You can read up on all the details
here, but be sure your documentation meets
all of the requirements. If you purchase Florida Resident Theme Park Tickets, but are not able to provide acceptable proof of Florida residency at Guest Relations or a ticket window, you will
not be eligible for the Special Offer pricing and will need to transition to a standard Theme Park Ticket.
I hope this information is helpful as you plan your trip for January. When you visit, don't forget to check out all the new and exciting offerings, including my new favorite attraction,
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at
EPCOT!
Please let me know if I can help answer any additional questions as you continue planning.
