Hi there, Khuyen, and welcome to planDisney!
Living in the Sunshine State, even if it’s only for a short time each year, definitely feels like a dream. I’ve been lucky to call Florida my home for my entire life, so there’s no wonder why I love Walt Disney World Resort so much. It’s my pleasure to share some good news with you, Khuyen.
I assume you do not have a Florida-issued driver’s license or identification or Florida-based military identification card. Those would suffice for verifying your Florida residency online. However, having a government-issued ID plus one of the following Florida-addressed documents will prove that you have residency here:
-Mortgage payment
-Utility bill
-Homeowner’s insurance policy
-Mail from a bank or government agency
Be sure that the documentation that you provide to Guest Relations is dated within 2 months for recency purposes. P.O. boxes are not accepted for proving residency. If you need more information, check out the
Proof of Residency FAQ webpage on the Disney World website.
AN EXTRA GEM: Once you’ve proven your residency, don’t miss out on deals on Resort hotel stays as well. Right now, there’s an amazing discount where you can
save up to 30% on rooms in Spring 2026. And if you’re staying between May 26 and September 8, you’ll get free entry to the
Disney Water Parks on your hotel check-in day. My family had this perk last year and we loved every moment lazing around at Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon.
Khuyen, your family is going to have the best time taking advantage of your Florida-resident perks. Don’t hesitate to ask us more vacation planning questions here at planDisney.
I’m all ears! Magic always,
LeAndra
