Hiya, Jiselle.
Welcome to
planDisney. Thanks for stopping by with your question! I see that you have a trip to
Walt Disney World coming up right before Christmas. That is so much fun. The holidays are my favorite time of year to visit. The theme parks are dressed up in their holiday best and it's so festive!
Jiselle, I think you'll be happy to know that you can absolutely bring your own food and drinks inside the
Walt Disney World Theme Parks to enjoy while you are there. In fact, I do this myself all of the time. There are just a few things that you should be aware of. First, when packing your food keep in mind that there won't be any places to heat anything up. Bringing foods that can be enjoyed either at room temperature or cold is the way to go. If you pack cold items, be sure to only pack a reusable gel ice pack as loose ice and dry ice is no longer permitted. Glass containers of any kind should also be left at home as they are not allowed and last but not least there is also no outside alcohol permitted in the theme parks. Other than those few things to keep in mind, you can pretty much bring in whatever you'd like to enjoy.
One thing I recommend leaving at home is actually bottled water. You can get free ice water at all
quick-service dining locations located throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. Leaving that at home is going to save you a ton of room in your cooler and also be lighter to carry around all day. All you have to do is ask the Cast Member working for a cup of ice water and they will be more than happy to provide you with one, two or as many as you'd like!
I hope this helps, Jiselle. If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
Happy packing!
Jackie H.
