    Hi -I own DVC in CA, looking to book a studio in AKL, WL, or BCV for early Dec when 7-mo window opens. Checking 7 mos out now, I'm not too confident I'll be able to get in. What's likelihood of getting off a wait list? Does that happen often? Thx.

    Howdy Leslie!  This is such a great question!!  One that is difficult to answer but a great one none the less.

    You have selected three very popular resorts.  I wish I could guarantee that you could get one of the three but I just don't know. 

    However, I am confident that you will be able to find a studio at one of the Disney Vacation Club Resorts.  Disney's Old Key West Resort and Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa are two very large properties and I would be surprised if you couldn't get into one of them for the time you mentioned.  They are two fabulous resorts and are only a walk or boat ride away from Downtown Disney.

    Regarding waitlists...once again, I just don't know/don't want to make any guarantees.  I'm a big fan of waitlists and I have had a few of them open up for me (one time at Disney's Beach Club Villas).  I always had another resort booked though to ensure I had a place to stay.

    Something else you might consider is a split stay between two resorts if you are able to book one of your three choices for only a portion of your vacation.  We have done this on a few occasions and it's been fun to experience multiple resorts during one vacation.
