Overwhelmed. Staying off-site in June 2015. We have two girls, 11, and 9. We haven't made a final decision on the number of days, and are flying in from the West Coast. No water parks planned. Where do I start? Been to Disneyland a few times.

    Hi Davinie!

You and I are similar yet opposite. Last year I visited Disneyland Resort for the first time and while familiar with Walt Disney World Resort, I felt a bit lost on how to plan for our trip.

I made a list of our favorite attractions and went from there as I planned. What are some of your favorite things to do with your family at the Disneyland Resort? Thinking of these things may help you make a list of must-dos when you visit Florida in June.

I love restaurants, so I read a lot of blogs and reviews to help make my dining reservations. I highly recommend dining at least once at one of the many restaurants in Epcot. Some of our family favorites are Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria in Italy Pavilion, Chefs de France in France Pavilion, and for something quick, Sunshine Seasons in Future World.

Because Walt Disney World Resort offers 4 theme parks, I would plan at least one day for each park to make the most of your long journey. We typically stay between 5-7 nights.

A resource I have come to rely on is Touringplans.com. There you can choose a detailed plan to follow and make the most of your days at each park. They have many different types of touring plans, including one for parents of tweens! It's definitely worth a look.

Finally, unless it's a surprise, I suggest letting your whole family get involved in the planning. Take a look around the Walt Disney World website and see which activities stand out to each of you.

Planning can be overwhelming, but it can also be fun. Wishing you a magical family vacation!
