Can we get outside food delivered to our Disneyland hotel? And how does that work? We are going to be staying at the Grand Californian

    Hi Angie,

Welcome back to planDisney! Thank you for continuing to trust us with your planning questions. It’s always a pleasure to help you make the most of your Disney adventures!

As a Disney Vacation Club Member, I absolutely love staying in Villas and rooms with a full kitchen. It’s such a game-changer, especially when those late-night munchies hit after a long day in the parks! Whether you're craving something warm and comforting after a full evening of fireworks or just need a midnight snack while watching Disney movies in your pajamas, having food options delivered straight to your hotel is a total win.

If you’re ordering hot food delivery, be sure to enter the Grand Californian Hotel’s address when placing your order, and make sure the order is under the same name as your room reservation. Once your food has arrived, you’ll need to head down to the front desk to meet your delivery. Cast Members are not permitted to handle hot food deliveries, so you’ll need to pick it up directly.

If you’re having groceries delivered to the hotel, you can use any third-party grocery delivery app to place your order. Groceries will be delivered to the bell desk, and a Cast Member will call your room once your items have arrived. And don’t worry, if your groceries need their own little flurry like Olaf, the bell desk has refrigerators and freezers to keep perishable items fresh! The only exception is alcohol, which Cast Members cannot accept, so be sure to save those special sips for a visit to Hearthstone Lounge!

If you're visiting the parks in April 2026, don’t miss the Food & Wine Festival! Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog, they usually release a Foodie Guide ahead of the festival. I love reading through it to plan all my must-try bites and sips. You can also check out the 2025 Foodie Guide to get an idea of what’s typically served. My favorite items from this past year were the Musubi Fried Rice and the Cherry Cobbler Pot de Crème; fingers crossed, they bring them back next year!

I hope this information was helpful, Angie! If you have any more questions or need additional tips, feel free to reach out to me or any of my fellow planDisney panelists. We’re always here to help sprinkle a little extra pixie dust on your Disney adventure.

Wishing you a magical (and well-fed!) trip!
