Hi there! Are outside foil or latex balloons allowed at Disneyland? Thank you!

Hello Cynthia! We’re so glad you found us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like someone is planning a celebration at the “Happiest Place on Earth!”

My family and I have celebrated so many things with Disney. We have celebrated our kids’ birthdays at the Disneyland Resort, I asked my wife to be my girlfriend in front of Cinderella Castle, and my biggest celebration yet was when my wife and I went to Walt Disney World for our ten year anniversary. I couldn’t think of a better place for a celebration than at Disneyland Park. While Disneyland Park encourages all types of celebrations, and even has special complimentary buttons for all occasions, bringing in your own foil or latex balloons is not something that is allowed at this time. However, the most magical balloons are available for purchase inside of the park. There are so many options to choose from and depending on the season, they can be extra Magical. The balloons change with the seasons and I’m always amazed at how fun and magical they can be. Speaking of magical, I think they must fill the balloons with magic because the Christmas balloons I purchased for my two kids December 6th are still floating in their bedrooms as I write this post. My son turns on the light for his balloon every night while my wife reads him a bedtime story. We were there for his birthday in December and it reminds us of our special trip.

There is no balloon more magical than a balloon from Disneyland Park. When I’m in the parks, I always look for the classic Mickey Mouse shaped balloon in GREEN. If you happened to be at the D23 EXPO in 2017, like I was, you would agree it is the most magical balloon of all.

Well Cynthia, I’m really glad you stopped by today. You reminded me of the magic and joy that a balloon from the parks can bring to someone. I really hope you consider making someone's day a little more magical with a balloon from the park. And don’t forget to pick up your complimentary celebration button from City Hall or one of the entrance turnstiles at Disneyland Park!

Remember, always believe in the magic!
