Now that the Osborne lights are no longer occurring, will there be any special Christmas/Holiday activities besides Mickeys party at the Magic Kingdom? Any dessert parties or other lights to see? Thanks! Coming Dec 15th.

    Greetings Jennifer,

You are in for a Walt Disney World vacation filled with the extra magic of the holiday season. This happens to be my favorite time to visit because of all the amazing decorations, special shows and events. So, I am glad you stopped by the Disney Parks Moms Panel so that I could share some of the spectacular holiday events with you.

Over at Epcot, you will find the Holidays Around the World. All of the countries share the traditions for this special time of year. In the past, there have also been some delicious treats customary to the countries' holiday seasons. Beginning in late November, also in Epcot, is the awe-inspiring Candlelight Processional. It is hands down my all-time favorite event during Christmas at Walt Disney World. I highly recommend getting tickets.

If you want to see the twinkle and sparkle of the season, I would suggest the Holiday D-Lights tour. This is a fun and behind the scenes tour with dinner and the aforementioned Candlelight Processional included. You will also meet some of the cast members that come up with the stunning decorations that adorn the parks and resorts. Space is limited and there are tour dates that are around your visit. To make reservations, call (407) WDW-TOUR (939-8687).

Lastly, there is the Wishes Fireworks Holiday Dessert Party in Magic Kingdom. Enjoy some scrumptious treats while viewing the seasonal celebration in the sky.

    I hope you have a pixie-dusted trip!
