Hi Cristina! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I'm happy to give you some tips on keeping your little one cool during your Walt Disney World Resort visit in a few days! I've traveled with both of my kiddos since they were infants, so I understand what that is like.
First, did you know that there are
Baby Care Centers in all four theme parks? They have changing tables, nursing rooms, and most importantly, air conditioning! They are the perfect spot to take a break and attend to your son's needs. Speaking of air conditioning, walking through the stores is a wonderful way to cool down, especially in the afternoon. When my infants took an afternoon nap in their stroller, I enjoyed browsing the stores to keep us both cool!
Walt Disney World Resort does a great job of having cool, shaded queues for attractions. Waiting in line can actually be a huge relief when trying to escape the summer heat. There are also other shaded areas like benches throughout the theme parks and side note - a break on a shaded bench just might be the perfect time for mom to grab herself an ice cream treat to munch on! *wink wink*
We purchased a stroller fan that clips onto our stroller when we had our first child and it has been amazing! Even during our hottest trips, the stroller fan has kept our little ones cool. Since we tried to keep them covered up to protect against the sun, we made sure they were dressed in light fabric so they didn't overheat.
