We get in to Orlando at 2 pm. Do you think it would be smarter to just relax and rest up, go to DTD, eat and shop or use up one day of our pass and see Fantasmic? (To add on a day will only be $13 more for all 4 of us)? Any tips for half days?

    Hi Katie!

I actually LOVE half-days at Disney. It gives me the "permission" I need to NOT do a park. I love to wander around the resorts---there's always something new and different at each one (sometimes a Hidden Mickey tour or a special display like the Gingerbread House at the Grand Floridian at Christmastime). You could do some water recreation (rent a boat or sea racer) at one of the resorts. Or hit up one of the mini golf locations like the Winter Summerland course in front of Blizzard Beach (my fave!). You could even do a special dinner that overlooks the fireworks---it would almost be like being at a park!

    ON THE OTHER HAND...

I adore Fantasmic and watching it would be a cool way to start your vacation off with a bang. And for only $13 to add another day, it might be worth it.

I think it's up to you---it might be fun to jump right in with Fantasmic but you will have TONS of fun (and maybe get a little rest) if you choose to mosey around Disney property!
