Welcome, Barbara!
I'm so glad to hear that you'll be able to squeeze in a little bit of Disney magic when you're in Orlando for the wedding. Whenever my family and I are anywhere near Orlando or Anaheim, we make sure we add in at least a day or two to visit the Disney Parks. We can't possibly be that close and not enjoy some time there!
While I love
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and have enjoyed attending it the past two years, if you only have one day and rides are your top priority, I'd probably suggest skipping the Halloween party to enjoy a fuller day in the parks. Have you considered getting a
Park Hopper ticket so that you can visit
Magic Kingdom all day and then when it's time for guests without party tickets to leave, you can make your way over to either
Epcot,
Disney's Hollywood Studios, or
Disney's Animal Kingdom? If it were my family, that's what we'd do.
If you plan your time well and take advantage of pre-booking your
FastPass+ selections for the must-do attractions at Magic Kingdom, you can then head to another park to round out the evening. Another option if the budget doesn't allow for adding on the Park Hopper option, is to enjoy Magic Kingdom from opening until it closes for the Halloween party, and then head over to
Disney Springs to enjoy browsing and exploring that fun area. Maybe make dining reservations for a favorite spot and enjoy a leisurely end to the day!
I hope those suggestions helps as you continue to plan this exciting day, Barbara!
