I Orlando for 10 days, how many park reservations can I book, staying with friends. I am an annual pass holder

Hello, Elaine! Welcome to planDisney. It sounds like you have a fun trip planned to the Orlando area coming up.

I've been a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder for years now and visit Walt Disney World at least one weekend a month so I am very familiar with the park pass reservation process with our types of tickets, Elaine. When not staying at a Walt Disney World Resort, Annual Passholders are able to hold 3 park pass reservations at a time. However, this is on a rolling system. So, as soon as you use a park pass reservation you will be able to log in to your MyDisneyExperience account and secure another pass. Sometimes, staying longer than 3 days can be difficult because on busier days park pass reservations can be all sold out for the calendar day that you would like to be there. However, I've had good luck with securing park pass reservations for a previously sold-out calendar date by checking back at odd hours. Very late and night or very early in the morning seem to be great times to land another park pass reservation. If the calendar is pretty open, then I suggest you grab your next park pass reservation in the morning right after you've scanned into the Walt Disney World Theme Park that you are visiting. I typically will do this while I am walking to the first attraction of the day. Throughout the day, the park pass reservations tend to fill up so I always suggest grabbing one as soon as possible.

To get an idea of what theme parks might have availability during your trip in October, head over to the theme park availability calendar and take a look. Right now, it looks like the availability is wide open. I suggest picking your first three park pass reservations soon that way you'll be able to get the parks that you really want! I would absolutely do your must-do parks first since you are able to choose those right now. Then, later in your trip, you can select any park because you've already done your top choices. If for some reason, there is no park pass availability for one of the days you'll be in the area, I suggest stopping by Disney Springs for a shopping and dining day! I actually spend most evenings that I am in Orlando over there and absolutely love it. I think it's a good fallback plan in case you aren't able to secure park pass reservations.

I hope this helps plan out your days a little bit better. If you have any other questions before your trip, please stop back by and ask me. I'm happy to help. Have fun!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
