I will be going to Orlando on business and I am thinking of taking my 15 year old daughter and 12 year old son. Can they enjoy the parks without me being present? What age to you let kids in without an adult? Do they need id?

HI there Doreen and GREAT question.

While there is no official written policy on this, I was able to find notation on an unofficial Annual Passholder forum site that states Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult 21 years of age or older while visiting the theme parks,  water parks, and Disney Quest.  With that being said, it really boils down to what your personally comfortable with.  They will not have to show ID to be admitted.

I think they'll be just fine as long as you specifically set your boundaries up front and are able to communicate with them via cell phone throughout the day.  Make sure you have a plan intact for reuniting as well as a strategy for meeting up in the event that they are separated from each other. Getting around the resort can be tricky if you don't have a plan!

    Best Wishes,
