Hiya Don - welcome to
planDisney!
We're so glad that you stopped by with your question about transportation to and around the Walt Disney World Resort! You'll be visiting during the
Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration, so get ready for exciting new attractions, experiences, entertainment, food, and so much more!
Ride-sharing services are a great way to access the magic of Walt Disney World Resort if you don't have a personal vehicle or another mode of transportation. Before I answer your question, I want to make sure you know of the other options you'll have once you make your way there!
Complimentary transportation is provided between most destinations at Walt Disney World Resort, either by bus, boat, Monorail, or Skyliner! I just wanted to make sure you knew that while you're welcome to use ride-sharing services, once you've arrived at Walt Disney World, you do have other options!
You'll be happy to know that there are well-marked ride-sharing drop-off and pick-up locations for all four Theme Parks as well as at
Disney Springs. With the exception of Magic Kingdom Park, these are located near the park entrances, and most ride-share drivers are very familiar with using them. For Magic Kingdom, the ride-share location is at the Transportation and Ticket Center, and you'll use water or Monorail transportation to get to the front entrance of Magic Kingdom.
Lyft is the preferred rideshare partner of Walt Disney World Resort, and in my experience, I prefer using it compared to other services while I'm there. You'll also want to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog to see when
Disney's Minnie Van Service might resume operations!
I hope this information is helpful as you plan for your upcoming trip.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions!
