We are going to be in Orlando April 11-18, and going to Magic Kingdom 1 day, we are not staying on the properties and would like to do a character dining, is that possible?

    Hi Arlene:

You can make a character dining reservation even if you are not staying on property.  If the dining reservation is in a Park, as opposed to at a Resort, you will need a Park ticket to enter.  Given that you will be visiting Magic Kingdom, it seems you can choose from character dining in Magic Kingdom (such as at The Crystal Palace) or at one of the Disney Resorts (such as at Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary Resort).  You can look at this list of Disney Restaurants to filer by character dining and location.  I strongly recommend making Advance Dining Reservations, since character dining is extremely popular.

    Enjoy your visit.
