Welcome to planDisney, Elizabeth.
The time has nearly arrived! You'll soon be packing up your bags and heading to The Most Magical Place on Earth. I bet your heart is singing, "I'm almost there!" Did you know that the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival will be taking place during your stay? This festival is a feast for the eyes — with stunning
topiary displays of Disney characters and gorgeous gardens blooming with flowers. It's also a treat for the taste buds — with
delectable dishes and delicious drinks to enjoy.
If you visit EPCOT, make sure you also take a scurry through Gusteau’s famous Paris restaurant in
Remy's Ratatouille Adventure. C'est magnifique! You'll also love the breathtaking nighttime spectacular,
Harmonious. Here's a tip: watch it from the Japan or Italy pavilion for great views.
I see that you have your heart set on visiting Magic Kingdom Park. Oh, bother! I'm so sorry that you're having trouble getting Theme Park reservations during the dates of your visit. That must be disheartening. But as Mary Poppins says, “Everything is possible, even the impossible.”
Here's what I'd recommend you do: First, I would make
reservations for any available Theme Parks while you still can. Second, I would keep checking the
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar. Check it multiple times a day. If you wake up in the night, check it again. People change their plans all the time. You might find that Magic Kingdom Park suddenly has availability. If that happens, quickly cancel your current Theme Park reservation and make a new reservation at Magic Kingdom Park. You can do this really easily by signing into your My Disney Experience account, clicking on "My Plans," and scrolling down until you see your Theme Park reservation. Click "View Details" and then "Cancel This Reservation." Make sure you immediately book your new reservation before someone else takes it.
If all else fails, you can always upgrade your tickets to the
Park Hopper Option. This would allow you to visit one Theme Park in the morning, but then magically hop to Magic Kingdom Park after 2:00 PM (subject to availability). There are rare instances when your second Theme Park is so full that they won't allow any more people, even with the Park Hopper option. If that were to happen, they would notify you through your My Disney Experience app.
If you'd like to add the Park Hopper Option, then open your My Disney Experience app, tap the icon with three lines in the bottom right corner. Tap "Tickets and Passes" and then tap on your ticket to upgrade. If you have any problems doing this, I'd recommend calling to
speak to a friendly Cast Member. You can also upgrade your tickets at Guest Relations on the day of your visit.
Elizabeth, I'll be wishing upon a star that you get to enjoy Magic Kingdom Park during your visit.
See ya real soon!
Mike
