Hello, I am going to Orlando with my adult daughter in April 2024 and plan on spending 1 day at Disney with a park hopper pass and would like to do all 4 parks in 1 day, do you have any tips?

Hey, howdy, hey, Deborah! Thanks for hopping by planDisney with this great question! A four-park, mother-daughter challenge sounds like a fun way to ramp up your magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort - if you're up for the challenge, I'm here to hype you up with some suggestions for how to best use your time, plan ahead, and celebrate the magic you're going to make!

When I travel to Disney, I always tell my family that time is money, and we get moving early in the morning so we don't waste either! Starting at 7 AM, remember you can book your first Disney Genie+ selections if you choose to use this service. This can get a little tricky with timing and park-hopping, but knowing which order you'll be hitting the parks can help you make the best choices for these extras! Genie+ does offer a multiple parks option, which means you can make selections for each of the parks throughout the day, or choose to stack later times so they'll be waiting for you when you arrive! I think this is one of the best strategies for park hopping success!

My next tip is to start at the park that opens earliest - typically, this is going to be Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park! I'd be there extra early to rope-drop the popular Avatar Flight of Passage, or if Expedition Everest is more your speed, the line for this one usually stays a little shorter in the early morning, so you might be able to ride it more than once before the wait time gets too high!

Once you've had your fill of the African savanna, hop on a complimentary Disney park-to-park bus and make your way over to Disney's Hollywood Studios. I recommend this as your next park because it will provide you with another mode of transportation to move to EPCOT when you are ready - the Disney Skyliner! Remember how I said time is money? Not having to wait for another bus and instead taking that relaxing and magical flight is going to save you a little time for sure!

Once you're in EPCOT, be sure to check out all of the fabulous festival extras because you'll be visiting during my favorite - the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival! Take some time to see all the amazing topiaries, sample some food and drinks from the outdoor kitchens throughout World Showcase, and take a stroll through the Butterfly Garden! As you make your way around the park, you're sure to feel the springtime magic all around you!

Our last move is going to be to take the Disney Monorail to your fourth and final park of the day, Magic Kingdom Park! To me, there is nothing more iconic than ending a Disney day with fireworks over Cinderella Castle, so be sure to stay for Happily Ever After to close out your magical day!

A few more tips I'll share:
    • Prioritize your top must-dos for each park! While you won't get to do everything in each park, knowing in advance what you don't want to miss and trying to utilize Genie+ to help you get it is going to make your day easier to plan.
    • Scope out snack and meal options as you plan - consider which park you'll be in for each meal period and decide if there are any sit-down meals you want to book in advance. If so, this is a great opportunity to recharge and share the memories you're making in real-time!
    • Celebrate! You did it! Take photos in each of the parks and get an I'm Celebrating button from Guest Relations at your final park of the day!
Wishing you a successful challenge, and all the magic along the way,
    Alison
