Originally I was thinking of taking my kids to Disney from March 6-12 but when I looked at the crowd calendar it seems to be VERY busy. Would the last week of February be a better date? I have 3 kids under the age of 7. Thank you!

    Hi, Daphne!

Personally, I love visiting Walt Disney World in March, as the chances for a perfectly temperate vacation are a little higher than in February. (Don't get me wrong, though. I'd be happy bundling up during a cold snap in Orlando if it meant that I could enjoy the parks!)

According to the unofficial crowd-predicting site touringplans.com, March 6-12, 2013 look to have an average of 4 out of 10 to 8 out of 10, depending on the day. However, on each of these more crowded days, there is at least one park which is a 6 out of 10 or lower. This means that you can still visit during that week and simply plan your days according to which park is predicted to be the least crowded.

With the Princess Half Marathon during the last week in February, you might actually stumble upon more crowds than you had anticipated on days of race events. While there are ample ways to navigate around these events, too, you might notice more activity at Host Resorts, in certain parking lots and at particular parks, with detours changing some bus routes the night before an event, depending on event time and day. Not to worry, though. With careful planning, you may not even notice much more than a runner or two returning back to a resort or touring a park post-race. When we last visited WDW that race weekend, these events were barely a blip on our radar...but we had planned to make it that way.
