Hello and welcome to
planDisney, Amanda. Thanks for stopping by with your question.
I'm sorry to hear that you had to reschedule your Walt Disney World vacation over Thanksgiving. Hopefully, you were able to go over Christmas and had a wonderful time. My family and I have been visiting for Christmas for about 10 years now and really enjoy it. It's such a magical time to be in the
Walt Disney World Theme Parks. Everything is so festive and dressed up in its holiday best!
Amanda, here at planDisney we are Guests just like yourself who love sharing our knowledge about planning amazing vacations to Disney destinations. Because of this, I'm not exactly sure what the dining chargers are that got added on to your account for your canceled trip. However, my best guess is that these are dining no-show fees. If a dining reservation is not canceled in time or you are a no-show, there is a $10 per person charge applied to the credit card you have on file. Each restaurant has its own
cancellation policy. If you had to cancel your Thanksgiving trip pretty close to your vacation dates, you may have been outside of the cancellation date for a particular restaurant which is why a fee was applied.
I think it would be best to reach out to the travel agent that helped you reschedule your vacation, Amanda. They may have some information on the particular restaurant or restaurants that you were charged for and why. Most restaurants do take cancellations up to 24 hours prior to the reservation. The only thing I can think of is these reservations were not canceled in time.
I'm sorry I don't have more information for you, Amanda. Hopefully, you are able to get in touch with your travel agent and figure it out together. If you have any other questions, please do feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm here to help.
Have a great day!
