Hiya, Courtney, and welcome back to planDisney! There's nothing I love more than planning a trip to Walt Disney World, so I'm beyond excited to help you sort out your plans. While there's really no bad time to visit The Most Magical Place on Earth, I know how important it is to choose the time that's right for you. So let's get right to it and plan your perfect vacation!
Courtney, you've already made the most exciting decision there is when it comes to a Disney vacation - and that's deciding to GO! But choosing
when to go? Well, that's one of the most important decisions you'll make when planning your trip (right alongside the question of
where to stay, but we'll talk about that later!).
Deciding when to visit means prioritizing factors such as weather, budget, crowd levels, and special events like festivals,
runDisney races, and holiday celebrations. And while February is on the cooler side in Florida, this month typically brings lower prices and lower crowds (outside of holiday weekends), as well as the popular
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts! Truthfully, this month is a fantastic time to visit for many guests.
That being said, I am a HUGE fan of Disney World in the springtime. The weather is warmer, so I get plenty of time by the pool, and my favorite festival, the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, transforms EPCOT into an enchanted fairytale garden. It's truly Disney World at its most beautiful!
As you already know, springtime crowds are generally centered around Spring Break, so you'll want to avoid the weeks surrounding Easter. In my experience, the weeks
after Easter but
before Memorial Day are a magical, lower-crowd time to visit. In fact, it's my VERY favorite time to go! Since Easter falls at the end of March next year, you should have a nice, long stretch in April for pleasant weather and manageable crowds. If I were booking a spring trip for myself next year, I'd aim for the last 3 weeks of April, or the first 2 weeks of May.
Bonus Tip: If you're visiting during an EPCOT festival, choose a resort that's close to the park.
Disney's BoardWalk Inn,
Disney's Yacht Club Resort, and
Disney's Beach Club Resort are all just a short walk from EPCOT and all that festival fun!
I hope this is helpful, Courtney, and that your Disney vacation is full of magic and pixie dust! If you have any other planning questions, you know

If you can dream it, you can do it,
Allison
