Hi Travis, and welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for stopping by to see us with your question.
I totally understand that you're feeling a bit uneasy with guidelines beginning to change. We're all still navigating through the situation in the world and trying to find our own comfort level. I can tell you that according to
Disney's Terms and Conditions, cancellations after 30 days before the start of your vacation will typically be charged a fee. However, I encourage you to get in touch with
Guest Relations at the number listed for "Disney Resort Hotel Reservations." A Cast Member will be able to discuss all of your options with you.
Travis, if it helps to put your mind at ease, many of the precautions implemented at Walt Disney World during the phased reopening are still in place. For example, Guests must still wear face coverings in all indoor locations, including rides and attractions, and in restaurants when not actively eating or drinking while stationary. In addition, masks are required when Guests are in attraction queues, whether indoors or outdoors. Physical distancing is encouraged inside and outside, and enhanced cleaning procedures are still in place. You can see the latest updates on Walt Disney World's efforts to keep Guests and Cast Members safe on the
Know Before You Go page on the website.
I hope I've been able to give you some useful information, Travis. Thanks again for sending us your question, and do come see us again real soon!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
