We originally booked a package to stay from Dec 4 - Dec 8. We then just added a hotel room (not onto the package) for Dec 3 bc we wanted to be there early on Dec 4. We do not have tix for Dec 3. Do we pick our fastpasses Friday Oct 4 or Saturday Oct 5?

    Hi Leah,

I'm super excited to hear that you've added on another magical night to your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! You're visiting during my favorite time of year, and you're going to LOVE all of the wonderful holiday celebrations that are going on. All of the theme parks and Disney Resort hotels will be decked out with gorgeous decorations, Christmas music will be playing everywhere, and multiple special events will fill your heart with holiday joy and magical memories!

While there have been some conflicting reports about split stays and FastPass+ selections, I'm happy to let you know that for my own upcoming split stay, I was actually able to make all of my FastPass+ selections for the entire length of my trip 60 days prior to the check-in date of my first Disney Resort hotel stay. I'm sending some pixie dust that it works for you, too! The FastPass+ service is such a wonderful time saver, so don't forget that once you've enjoyed your three pre-planned selections each day, you'll be able to use the My Disney Experience mobile app or an in-park kiosk to make additional selections, one at a time, pending availability. You'll feel like true Disney royalty when you bypass those standby lines!

Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Leah, and please come back and see us again if we can help with anything else as you're planning your trip. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation!
