Welcome to planDisney. I love how Disney is always looking at ways to make vacations to
Walt Disney World even more magical. The introduction of magic bands provided a convenient and fun way to access your room, enter the parks, get PhotoPass access, and pay for merchandise. Keeping with Walt’s idea of always plussing up, the
Magic Band + was the next step in evolution. Now you can unlock enchanting interactions throughout the Walt Disney World Resorts.
I checked the Disney Store website, but couldn't find any Magic Bands available; only Magic Band +. Now the good news is that if you have a Magic Band, you can still use it for everything I mentioned previously, with the exception of the enchanting interactions. I know you are concerned about having to keep a Magic Band charged. In my experience, the Magic Band + will stay charged 1-3 days depending on usage. If it does run out of power, you can still use it to enter your room, enter the parks, get PhotoPass access, and pay for merchandise.
Another option I would like to share with you is the
Disney MagicMobile Service. The Disney MagicMobile service is a feature of the My Disney Experience app. This app feature offers quick, easy access to select theme park and Disney Resort hotel amenities on eligible iPhone, Apple Watch, or Android phones.
