How should I organize my data so I can obtain my fast passes as quickly as possible? Can you request a time period you would like to be in?

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Maurice! FastPass+ selection day is one of my favorite days! I love it so much that I don't even get mad at my alarm when it wakes me up extra early that morning. You can make those selections 30 days in advance, or up to 60 days before your arrival if you're staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, so it's a great idea to have everything organized to make that process go smoothly when the day arrives.

First, I recommend having a rough plan of what you want your days to look like. At the minimum, consider what theme parks you want to visit on each day of your vacation and which three attractions you'd like to make FastPass+ selections for. When I'm thinking about how I want my trip to take shape, I tend to leave some of the newest and most popular attractions for the last few days of my trip because fewer guests have had the opportunity to book a FastPass+ time on those days. For instance, if I'm planning a Monday to Friday vacation I'll visit Disney's Animal Kingdom on Thursday or Friday because it'll give me a better chance of getting a FastPass+ for Avatar Flight of Passage, which is very popular. You'll also want to think about what time you want to make those selections for, keeping in mind any advanced dining reservations or other plans that you've already made. When you book a FastPass+ you'll choose a one hour window that works for you and you can redeem your selection at any time during that hour.

When your FastPass+ selection day arrives you can begin making your choices using My Disney Experience at 7 a.m. Eastern Time, and I recommend choosing the attractions in the order they are most important for you. If Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is the number one thing you have to do, make it the first FastPass+ selection you choose, no matter what day it falls on during your vacation. If you have plans to get a FastPass+ for the two attractions I've already mentioned or want to book times for Slinky Dog Dash at Disney's Hollywood Studios or Frozen Ever After at Epcot, I recommend that they be the first choices you make because they tend to be very popular and are among the first attractions to run out of available times. I usually make a sticky note with the attractions I want to ride and the dates and times I want to ride them and have it next to my computer when I'm making my selections so I can refer back to it as I go. Finally, keep an open mind and be flexible about timing. FastPass+ selections can be modified at your leisure in the days and weeks leading up to your vacation, and even on the day you want to use them, so if you don't get something you want right away or you want to change the timing of some of your choices, just keep checking back to see if you can get what you're looking for.

    Have a magical day, Maurice!
