Hi Sergio, welcome to planDisney!
My family loves the hands-free convenience MagicBands provide during our Walt Disney World Resort vacations. My kids used to fight over who got to scan their MagicBand first at park entry and Lightning Lane entrances, but that was before we instated an oldest-to-youngest policy. Now Mama goes first every time!
I was just online trying to nail down my own pre-arrival MagicBand order and would be happy to share what I know about this perk available to
Disney Resorts Collection hotel Guests. Guests with a Disney Resort hotel reservation linked to their My Disney Experience account will find the words "Your MagicBand Order" on the
MagicBands and Cards page of their account. Customized MagicBands can be purchased up to 6 days before arrival.
When customizing a MagicBand, each Guest picks their desired design and personalization. The personalization setting for each Guest defaults to their first name, though you can change it to a nickname or leave it blank if preferred. Kindly note that personalization is limited to nine characters. For MagicBand+ designs, the name appears in small print on the back of the center puck, just above the ID number.
You can only place your pre-arrival MagicBand order once everyone in your party selects or declines a band. To decline a MagicBand, click the blue "Select" under a Guest's name and "Decline a New MagicBand" under their profile picture. For those opting out of a MagicBand, other
methods of entry include a Disney MagicMobile pass or admission card.
Unlike MagicBands purchased online or at retail locations on property, pre-arrival MagicBands arrive pre-linked to your account. MagicBand+ designs must be
paired to your mobile device and fully charged before use.
MagicBand orders placed more than 10 days before your trip are sent to your home address. Orders placed 6-10 days before your trip are sent directly to your Disney Resort hotel. Pre-arrival MagicBands are no longer available 1-5 days before your trip.
I hope this information helps you understand your options for placing your pre-arrival MagicBand order, Sergio. My other favorite perk of staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel is
early theme park entry. The early bird gets the shortest wait times!
Plan magic; planDisney.
