When ordering at the kiosk at Captain Cooks, can you "customize" your order? For example, adding or leaving off a topping on a sandwich and how do you do that? Thanks!

    Hi Barbara, Great question!

Captain Cooks, located inside the Polynesian Resort, has touch-screen kiosks to order your meal. While these computers cut down on wait time and are convenient, there are a few "quirks" with them. One is that you can't make changes on the computer for many of the items. I will note that a couple of the menu items have "modify" buttons, which you can use to add or leave off toppings, condiments, etc. However, if there is an item that you want that does not have the "modify" option attached to it, don't worry. Instead, you will place your order for the sandwich that you want. You pay after you order, so when you get up to the cashier, you will simply let him/her know that you want to revise your order. They will then inform the kitchen to, "leave off the mayo", or whatever your request is.

As long as it isn't an allergy issue, the cashier can handle it by passing it along to the cook. If it is an allergy, you'll want to ask to speak with the manager so that he/she can make sure the kitchen takes the necessary precautions when preparing your meal.

By the way, the Contempo Cafe in the Contemporary and Peco's Bills in the Magic Kingdom also have these kiosks and you would make revisions to your order in a similar manner.

Hope this helps and that you enjoy your vacation,
