I just ordered my Wristbands and was wondering if I could put a prepaid amount of $ on it for dining and merchandise purchases since we aren't participating in the dining plan. I don't want my purchases going to my room reservation credit card.

It is not so much that you put pre-paid money on the band itself, but you can have your resort hotel account with a credit. But know that if you don't spend all that credit, they don't have a way of giving you the remaining money back. So they always encourage you only to post a credit in small amounts.

What I have done many times in the past is put a few gift cards onto my room account. Then I would check every other afternoon or so and pay for any spending before it booked to my credit card. When you check in you can find out how much balance they will allow onto your room account before they go and charge to your credit card.

And in case I was not clear, with these bands, just like with the old room keys, you can charge meals, purchases, and most anything you would spend money on in the theme park and Disney resort hotels.

Write me back if this results in some follow-up questions?

    Have a magical vacation!
