Hi there, Marie!
The distribution of the DVDs is somewhat misaligned with the calendar year. Lots of that has to do with three factors: availability of DVDs, the time for filming, and the number of changes that are occurring between one Disney year into the next. The last few years, too, have seen the development of combo-DVDs - inclusion of Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, etc.
So Disney tends to try to reduce its stock of current-year DVDs as much as possible, and will tend to go into the first quarter of the next year. This allows time for filming of new clips, production of new art elements, composition and recording of new music, and so on.
And most of these elements hinge on what's happening at the Parks. Right now, for example, the Fantasyland expansion in the Magic Kingdom is taking center stage in many people's vacation plans. The hype is definitely ratcheting up. And there's Disney Cruise Line's new ships, Aulani in Hawaii, the Carsland excitement in Disneyland .... so much excitement!
There have been reports that the first of the new DVDs have been received by folks who ordered in early February. It's possible that the rollout is happening now; consider waiting until the end of the month and ordering another. Before you do that, give a call to The Walt Disney Travel Company at (407) W-DISNEY o see if the Cast members there have a line on when the most current iterations are officially being shipped.
