    I ordered an upgraded Magicband for my wife and I for collection at my resort hotel as covid19 caused my holiday to be cancelled disney website states the cost of these will automatically be refunded. How long does this take? arrival date was to be 9th May

    Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  Thank you for sharing your question with us!

    2020 has been a unique year for everyone around the world!  Through everything we all have experienced, I have seen more and more every day that “it’s a small world” after all!  The Walt Disney World Resort is working hard to get all refunds to all guests promptly.  They will be refunding you through the same method you purchased your “MagicBands” originally.  It could take a bit for all the refunds to be completed due to the quantity and personnel throughout these unusual circumstances.  Be assured that this transaction being completed is of the utmost importance to the Walt Disney World Resort!  I have placed a link in the above “MagicBand” text.  There, you will find more information on refunds, and at the bottom of the page, you will find a phone number, if you choose to call to speak with a Cast Member.

    The Walt Disney World Resort opened its doors in 1971.  I am so excited for 2021. This will be the 50th anniversary for the Walt Disney World Resort!  Through the ups and downs, this year brings, I reflect on Walt Disney’s words, “Times and conditions change so rapidly that we must keep our aim constantly focused on the future.”  In these times, his words are so real!
