I ordered themagicband+ for our upcoming trip. Last week, I got a shipping notice. However as of today 8/24, when I track the package it says USPS Currently Awaiting Package. We leave in less then a week and am concerned we won't get them in time.

Hiya Lauren - welcome to planDisney!

Thanks for stopping by with a question for our team of panelists. As fellow planners, we love to help you plan your very own, very magical, Walt Disney World Resort vacations! I'm excited to hEAR that your trip is just around the corner - get ready to make some magical memories at the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration!

I recently placed and received my MagicBand+ order, so I can tell you about my experience and let you know what options you might have if there wasn't enough pixie dust to get your order to you in time. I placed my MagicBand+ order on July 27th, about three weeks prior to my arrival. My order status showed as "Shipped" about seven business days before I was set to leave, and arrived three business days later.

During that three-day gap, the USPS tracking information was not updated on my end, so it sounds like you're currently in that zone as well. Don't you just hate ambiguity?! I think Disney uses a different carrier to deliver orders directly to the USPS, and once the USPS has it, more detailed tracking will resume.

I do know that some Guests are receiving their orders much earlier, some just in time, and unfortunately, some are not arriving at Guests' homes in time. No matter what happens, know that you'll be taken care of. If for any reason your MagicBand+ order doesn't arrive before you depart home for your trip, all you need to do is stop by and speak to a Cast Member at the Front Desk of your Disney Resort. This doesn't even need to be your first stop! If you've used Online Check-in and the Direct-to-Room Service, you can still use your My Disney Experience Mobile app to unlock your Resort Guest room door without a MagicBand.

If your order doesn't arrive, and you want to learn about options sooner, you could also try the Chat With Us feature in the My Disney Experience Mobile App for additional help. My guess is that they will also inform you that your Resort will take care of you.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions as you continue planning for your adventure, Lauren!
