Hi, Michele!
Thanks so much for stopping by the Moms Panel with this great question!
Once you return home from your vacation, you can upload your own photos to use in any of the product builders, like PhotoBooks for example, but there is not an option to store your photos on your
MyDisneyPhotoPass.com account. You can also put fun borders on your own photos, but you'll want to make sure you save them to your computer before you order your CD as personal photos cannot be included on your PhotoCD because you own that copyright already.
I'm wondering if you tried to use a product called a Personal Archive CD where you could stop into one of the photo centers at Walt Disney World and basically empty the photos from your personal camera[s] onto a CD for around $20.00? I spoke with a fabulous Cast Member this morning from the
Disney's PhotoPass help line who told me that this product is unfortunately no longer available. You can do this yourself back in your hotel room if you bring a laptop and some blank discs with you. If not, I recommend that you bring an extra SD card or five [if you take hundreds of pics like me] so you will not run out of storage space for capturing all of the magic you're going to create during your trip!
You'll be thrilled to know that the photos taken at many dining locations by PhotoPass photographers can be added to your PhotoPass+ account right after the picture is taken! The photographer will simply scan your PhotoPass+ card and it will be added to your account. I always recommend taking a picture of the back of your card so you have your account number just in case you lose it.
I sure hope this helps, Michele! Please let us know if we can assist with any other questions you have!
Wishing you a Pixie Dusted vacation!
