I ordered new Magic Bands for each person in my group. Are they already activated, or is there another step before we can use them?

    Hi Evelyn! Welcome to planDisney!

Oh my goodness! Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is almost here! Before you know it, you'll be strolling down Main Street, U.S.A., snapping selfies with the Mickey-shaped pumpkins, and seeing the beautiful 50th anniversary celebration decorations on Cinderella Castle. What an amazing trip you will have!

Typically, MagicBands come automagically activated and ready to go! The only thing you want to check is that they are linked to your My Disney Experience account and attached to each person in your planning party. When you log in to your account on the main Walt Disney World website, select "My MagicBands and Cards" from the My Disney Experience drop-down menu. On the page that comes up, you should see all the MagicBands and Walt Disney World theme park tickets that are associated with those in your group. As long as you see the MagicBands linked (and they should have a button to "Deactivate" which means they are already activated), you're all set! If they aren't linked, you can do that by scrolling to the bottom, clicking "Link" and following the prompts.

I hope this helps with your last-minute preparations, Evelyn! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
